Mendenhall Family Private
Cemetery, in Franklin County, Idaho We visited the Mendenhall Family Cemetery 11 Jul 2004. It lies in Franklin County between the cities of Dayton and Preston just south of Highway 36. Many thanks to Luann B. Seamons, a cousin, for her assistance in providing directions to the cemetery in addition to her previous work in canvassing the site in 1998. According to Luann the cemetery lies on property that originally belonged to George Madison Mendenhall Sr, son of Thomas Mendenhall Sr. Our 2004 trip's goal was to photograph the site and provide a GPS coordinate to family members for future visits. Be aware that the site is located on PRIVATE PROPERTY and that a short hike through tall sagebrush and weeds will be required. Most important, PLEASE respect the property of the owner (James Frew) so that we can continue honoring our ancestors at this location.
